Hi there! My name is Gabby, and I love sharing new and creative things with the world. I’m currently studying Graphic Design at Framingham State University, and I really enjoy what I do. When I can bring happiness to someone with something I design, it’s truly satisfying for me. But my interests don’t stop at Graphic design, I’m an avid crafter, illustrator, and jewelry designer, so when I find something really intriguing though my internet journeys I post it here.

Check me out on the web and enjoy the blog!

Quick Update: More Embroidery

I went to a wedding this weekend and I felt like I needed to do a little something for the happy couple, so I whipped together a quick embroidery hoop for them. I hope they liked it 🙂

Swedish Artist Makes Pantone Colored Smoothies!!

Wait till you see these amazing smoothies made by Swedish artist Hedvig A. Kushner. He’s made a variety of tasty colors using all of your favorite smoothie ingredients like bananas and blueberries. I have to say these look pretty delicious, but it leaves me with so many questions. Like can you make any color with the smoothie method? How do they taste? And most importantly…why didn’t I think of that?! Anyways I have a few pictures below, but if you wanna see more, just follow this link.

Long Time no See!

No I haven’t dropped off the face of the planet, I’ve just officially joined the adult world! This July I started at MathWorks, and I’m in their marketing department. It’s been a fabulous opportunity to be able to learn more design skills, and sharpen the ones I have even further. Plus everyone has been so friendly there it’s great! Oh and did I mention I have a pet mannequin in my office? Her name is Astrid, pictures will come soon 😛

But to make up for my long absence I’m going to show you a little something I’ve been working on in my spare time. It’s an animal embroidery project that was inspired by my adventures in Pinterest-land. I made a snow leopard, a fox, and a hedgehog. They’re currently hanging in my office now, but you can check them out below!

i wish I could say I had more time for graphic-design related projects, but MathWorks just zaps all of my energy D: that doesn’t mean I don’t have a few ideas swirling around my head, it just means it may take longer to finish them than expected 😛

They are complete! In the end I decided to stick with three designs (yam, beet, and buns) and overall I’m pretty satisfied with them. To view the final designs visit my website (gabriellelydon.com).

Enjoy! 🙂

Food Pun Fun Update #3!

They’re almost done! I think the beet and yam posters are closest to completion, and the bun and corn could use more work. I’m seriously considering redoing the corn type, I mean I already redid the corn so why not right? Anyways keep an eye on the blog for the final pieces!
